Are you ready for Round 2?!
Hello my new friends! I am a little behind at….life right now. I should have posted this before Labor Day, here we are now it’s practically the middle of September. I’ll never understand how this happens, but anyway, here we are!
If you’re reading this, you may have been at our first Cake Picnic, which I assume will mean you want to be at this one as well. I am still stunned and amazed that any time I run into anyone who was in attendance, we unanimously agree that it was SO MUCH FUN. As always, there’s no obligation, come if you want but if you’d rather wait until I figure out the theme of our next gathering, that’s ok too! We’ll welcome you back either way!
If you want to hang at September’s Picnic, think about bringing a friend that might be into it as well! I’d really love to have a diverse pool to draw from for all of our meetings, the more the merrier and all that. But also, many voices makes it so much more interesting, imho. I had such a great time meeting you all in August, I would love to start deepening those connections with each new meeting. Maybe we could *gasp* even have coffee like actual friends do-i know, crazy, right?!
If you are reading this and you weren’t in attendance at Picnic #1, you are in for a treat if you come. You can peruse this newsletter, I’ve pinned all the pertinent info to the top of the page so it’s easy to find. I do hope you’ll think about coming and bring a friend as well! To me, one of the best parts of our inaugural meeting was how open everyone is to be part of something new.
All you have to do to attend is shoot an RSVP email to Jotitdown.kq@gmail.com. Tell me who you are, if you are bringing others, and if you are bringing a cake. Remember, there is NO PRESSURE to bring a cake. We had the perfect amount last time, plenty for leftovers but almost no waste(except that one that fell off the table as we were cleaning up, I felt guilt about that for days) And if anyone was wondering, whatever didn’t get distributed, taken home or eaten by my son the garbage disposal, was donated to a small homeless encampment that i’m privy to. They were really appreciative and surprised. That was just a double bonus, being able to do something good for a community that doesn’t often get happy surprises. Everyone deserves the happiness a slice of cake and a little bit of sugar brings every once in a while. Everyone. I’m looking at you, RFK, you hypocritical scumbag.
Ahem, anyway….Can’t wait to see you all on the 27th! Shoot me an email with any questions and/or your RSVP’s! Spread the word and let’s EAT SOME CAKE!

I'll be there on the 27th; bringing a friend.
